i believe your thinking of the system restore option, which you can get to by turn the computer on and as soon as the first screen appears start pressing F8, this will take you into the advanced options where that is located. but it will not do what you are thinking. it does completely take your computer back to factory settings, it only replaces files or programs that have been removed since the last check point. you need to format the hard drive and reinstall windows to get factory settings
