sony VAIO fan & restarting? and angry girlfriend (10 pts)?
My girl friends sony vaio fan was producing so much noise so i get it repaired( not sony authorized) . I also run an anti virus boot time scan and deleted all the virus attached files after that i installed some software like VLC. media played classic and IDM i partitioned the hard drive into two parts C drive and E drive
since then the laptop keeps on restarting after working for some time and fan also start to produce some sounds her elder sister was so much angry as the becomes worst then previous.
previously there was only one drive C so their so much chance that some of the windows files got deleted (WINDOWS VISTA)
im guessing that it keeps rebooting due to overheating. this is a COMMON problem with laptops.

I am wanting to buy a net book because my laptop is huge and heavy and right now, it won't shut because the hinge is broken. I was just going to go to Target to buy an accer net book, but I was on the fry's website and saw the hp mini. It is more expensive, but it is probably better quality. Please give me any advise on what I should purchase if you have had experience with these. THanks
Actually all of them are pretty good right now so you will probably like which ever one you pick. There are some design flaws however with Acer and HP that I think anyone that buys one of their netbooks should know:
- Acer's weakness is flimsy hinges in their design. If you drop one of their netbooks, don't be surprised if the hinges become loose, especially if it's open when it falls.
- HP's weakness is a flimsy top cover for the laptop screen in their design. Make sure you don't accidentally sit on it or knock anything against it, as you may end up having to replace the screen.
Honestly the toughest netbook design I've seen recently has been on MSI's line of Wind netbooks.

connecting xbox to the internet using my laptop..DNS error?
I'm using windows XP on my laptop and im trying to connect my Xbox Live 360 to the Laptop. I got an ethernet cable and its plugged both into my laptop and the back of my xbox. I went over these instruction on this website
after doing all of this i get this error.
*Your DNS server can't recieve the names of the Xbox live servers*
I tried using the command prompt to chec for my DNS server and it only shows one. So im not sure what to put for secondary on my xbox setting. Is there anyways to make this work? my model is upstairs and my xbox is downstairs so there is no way for me to connect the xbox directly to the modem.
Any ideas on how i can solve this problem?
