ipod audio jack repair?

The audio jack on my ipod is starting to wear out. It's a 80 GB ipod classic and I bought it a year ago. I didn't get a warranty with my ipod so I will have to pay $150.00 for the repairs. I would rather by a new ipod than spend that much money and lose all of the songs (over 9,000) that are on my ipod.

Has anyone had the jack on their ipod fixed? I found a website that advertises that they offer this service for a little over 40 bucks. If you've used this service did it work out?

If you do deside on getting a new ipod, be sure to back up all your songs onto your computer. Then, when you get your new ipod all your songs will be sync back onto your new one. If you do chose to get your ipod fixed i would sugest the following:
