I tried to like reinstall everything on my Macbook but after the first disc the screen went gray with just the mouse and it wouldn't change so I restarted it which was probably a mistake. But then once it restarted it went straight to installing it again so I quit that and restarted againnnn. But now it won't go past the gray screen with the apple logo and the spinning swirly thing. I still need to put in the second install disc but I can't eject the first one until my computer starts up! What do I do?

You can eject the disc easily:
restart your computer... and keep the mouse button (below the trackpad) pressed...it may take a minute or so... so keep it pressed... your disk will eject automatically...
As far as the setup is concerned, I think putting in the second disk might not help.. .. just try it..

You could try this " go to the device manager and disable the internal drive then go to your Itunes settings and select the external drive as the default one for working with (it is only the file path you need to change IE: D to say E)
