I recently bought an asus a8 le laptop. I have already installed windows xp sp2. But I don't know how to activate it's wifi or how to connect to wifi hotspots.can anybody help me? thanks in advance
I mean, am now here in an area where my friends said there is a hotspot.. so how do I connect to the internet?
If there is a logo down the bottom on the right of the start bar with what looks like a computer with a red X on it then right click it and if it's the right symbol you need to click view available networks.
After about 20 seconds a window opens with a list of near by wifi networks. Depending where you are you will get different amounts. To log on to most of them you will need the WEP key, you'll only get this if you know who owns the network, otherwise you might be lucky if there is an unsecured one.

It is unlikely that your problem is the result of a virus.
It sounds like a hardware failure of some sort. It could be the battery, the charging circuit, or a number of other things.
