I have a screensaver on my old notebook / laptop that i uploaded from a disc and I want to put it on my new notebook. I no longer have the disc. How do I save it onto a thumb drive and transfer it onto my new one- is it possible?
My old system was windows xp, my new one is windows vista.
If it is a regular "screensaver" then it will have a .scr extension. Simply search your computer for *.scr (include the asterisk to get ALL files that match that extention)
Copy to new pc, then put it in the directory with all the OTHER ones.. not just any old directory.
IF it's a screensaver that had an installer program that came with it, that likely won't work

i have a notebook/laptop (its a Asus EEE PC 4G) and the inbuilt webcam quality is pretty crappy, i wanna put an external webcam on it (preferably a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 or something)
will this still work? will i still be able to put an external webcam on a laptop that already has an inbuilt webcam inside it??
thanks in advance!
Sure this should not be a problem at all. You will just need to install the drivers for the external camera and you are good to go. If there are any problems, you can go to device manager by right clicking on my computer, select manage and then select device manager. In there locate the inbuilt camera and disable it. This should not be necessary though as you can select the camera you want to use so just select the external one.
