i don't want to spend alot on a laptop, i heard this one is under 100 dollars. i dont know where to buy it though. could i get it at best buy or any of those kind of stores?
The JL7100 is Windows CE.. that is the PDA version of XP. Keep in mind that this netbook won't support much and therefore wont get you very far. From the research Ive done ( mostly on the internet) it seems this notebook is sold to distributors first, then they sell it to the public. I haven't found any one online that sells it direct.
The company website has a "contact us" page that gives you both a phone number (its international) and a email address... maybe email them direct, tell 'em you want to buy one and they may be able to steer you in the right direction.
Personally, there are better deals out there for not that much more money. You will want to have a computer that gives you longevity and is not a drag to use day in and day out. If you want a netbook that has actuall XP home, there are some out there for sub $250.00-its also the holidays so you may be able to get someone or many to donate a few dollars each towards a "real" computer. The JL doenst even have a hard drive.. you give it storage by adding SD cards.. With technology you get what you pay for. If you ever had to repair it, you want to be able to get parts for it and be able to even have it repaired. the company is located overseas and that can pose a problem and make repairs and support costly ( much more so than spending a few hundred or even a few hundred more) on a more well known brand.
Does my Acer Aspire One netbook have a tv out function / video format?
I want to connect the netbook to my projector with a vga to component wire, but what I've read suggests that this is only doable if the netbook supports the tv-out function. The video card in my netbook is whatever the stock video card that comes with an aspire one netbook would be. Thanks.
