Is there a program to increase the volume out of my laptop speakers?

I have an old Sony Vaio and the DVD volume is not great. Is there any way to boost it up?
The internal volume controls are all on full.

What you can do install applications or media players with a built in volume boost or equiliser setttings ,such as winamp,or VLC media plaer(www.videolan.org).
In VLC media player as your playing the file,press Ctrl+Up arrow key to increase the volume to upto 400% of the original.
in winamp,go to EQ settings,switch it on and increase all bars to high including the very first one with the +12db ,-12db writings.
This will seriously improve Your DVD enjoyability.
(Not too sure of Winamps DVD capabilities,but VLC supports DVD).
But in general if the DVD player you have has EQ settings the use that itself to do what i suggested.
Blaze DVD player(http://www.blazevideo.com/) has a built-in vlume boost as well.

This type of behavior is generally caused by one of two things: boredom or separation anxiety.

Separation Anxiety can be dealt with but it requires a lot of patience and training, including trial runs where you'd put her into her area, then leave the room for awhile or the house - 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc. If she is still in her area when you come back in, praise her for good behavior.

One thing you may want to consider is crate training her. A crate fulfills a dog's natural instinct to go into a "den" (a small area dogs sleep / rest in). Sometimes dogs are uneasy with having too much space at their disposal - maybe the gated area is too big in her mind. A crate should be just big enough for the dog to stand, sit, lay down, and turn around in. Not big enough where she has several corners to choose from. You should train her to sleep in the crate at night - that way, she comes to associate being crated with taking a rest. Then crate her when you're gone. She should just settle down in the crate and go to sleep.

Crating is usually a very good way to go with any breed of dog. Not only does it fulfill their natural instinct to den, but it also keeps the dog and your belongings safe from harm. Consider this - while your things may be expensive to replace, chewing a power cord or swallowing things she chews up can KILL your dog.
